Today’s show had a Halloween theme, well sort of, but discussions about sex and other fun stuff never goes out of style… Particularly for our favorite radio show…

Ah’nuld, Stallone and Gollum

Don Puno, nephew of DILG secretary Ronnie Puno and owner of the famous Alchemy bar, was on hand to promote a Halloween event at Alchemy and also to demonstrate his vocal impersonation talents… If you can recall, Mo asked Don to call the show as Stallone on a prank interview some months ago… The guy was so good that for a couple of minutes, Mojo actually thought he was “the” Sylvester Stallone…

Don also does impersonations of California governor and former Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lord of the Ring villain, Gollum… His Gollum is spot on…

Great job!

Halloween costumes

Speaking of Halloween, Mojo was wondering what Halloween costume he’d wear to the Alchemy party… He was considering going as Storm of X-men… A lot of the callers had hilarious suggestions for Mojo but he ruled out anything involving Spandex coz he doesn’t look good in them, hehe…

I wouldn’t think so Mojo…

One of the coolest costumes I’ve seen in movies is when Mr. Miyagi made Daniel san a shower costume… Now that’s a cool idea!

Rihanna Interview

Nothing even remotely Halloweenish about Rihanna, one of my favorite R&B artists… Yes, you read it right, Mo finally got Rihanna on the show albeit at an indecently early hour on the show, around 6:10AM and she called from the airport… Talk about busy…

I liked Rihanna even more after her interview, she had a nice personality and she was fairly articulate considering her age and fame… Mo told her about Mojo’s plan to do the Umbrella dance moves at her concert with Chris Brown… Rihanna was okay with it and said that a lot of her fans do that whenever she sings “Umbrella” at her concerts…

Young house owners

Mo asked the listeners to call in if they already owned a house at a relatively young age and how they did it… He was thinking about it when he was decorating his condo in Eastwood and one of his frustrations was that he still didn’t own his own place…

I think that majority of Filipinos still rent but should seriously think about owning their own place by their 30’s… It’s a good investment and kind of gives you that satisfaction that you own a little piece of the earth, hehe…

Sweet guy

A listener wrote the show to ask Mojo to read a letter on-air to his wife who’s leaving him after 5 years of marriage… He said that his wife no longer laughs at his jokes and she was always giving him the cold shoulder…

The segment reminded me of Joe the Mango’s advice show on radio some years back, hehe…

But the gesture was sweet and I hope the guy and his girl get back together… Good luck!

Secrets part deux

The Share A Secret portion was so successful that callers were offering to share secrets even though they weren’t disussing that topic anymore…

Skank

Lady caller one shared her secret about sleeping with her elder sister’s boyfriend… and her bestfriend’s boyfriend… Whew! For her trouble she got called a skank by Mojo Jojo…

I thought it was a bit unfair, even granting that she was a skank, Mojo shouldn’t have told her that and just gave her advice or something.

Delayed

Another lady caller was sleeping with 2 guys at the same time and she was “delayed”… Worst thing about it is that she didn’t know who the father was… Mo and Grace advised her to take a pregnancy test and start using protection if she wasn’t pregnant…

Not quite so famous celebrity

Another lady shared a secret that she bore the child of a celebrity who was already married to a beauty queen for 10 years… When prompted to name the celebrity, she didn’t want to give it out on air… The clue she gave was that the celebrity was connected with Bigfish…

Finally, Mo got her to name the celebrity but my man Mo drew a blank, hehe…

Apparently, not an A-lister…

Good Times with Mo (Oct. 28, 2008)

I’m writing this post at nearly 12 midnight of today… Long story, but I was out of town on a business trip and there was no internet access where I was during the day and I spent most of the night driving back to Manila stuck in horrendous traffic and knee deep flooding…

I took notes though while I was listening to the show this morning so I would still have something to blog about… Sorry about the delay guys…

Great, great show today and it helped relieve the boredom of driving alone…

Bedroom posters

Mo went retro today and asked the listeners about their favorite bedroom posters in their teens… A lot of callers had Phoebe Cates posters for one reason or another… Hmmm…. I wonder why, hehe… That included Mo who unwittingly revealed an interesting factoid… He still slept beside his Mom till he was 15, hehe…. That’s pretty gay, Mo…

What posters did you have up when you were younger? Or are they still up on your bedroom walls?

Mojo too fat?

Mo raised an interesting point about Mojo Jojo on today’s show… He said that Mojo has never been as successful and led as meaningful a life as he does now and yet he looks his absolute worst…  When he was young and not quite as famous as he is now, he looked pretty good, said Mo… Now he’s been elected town mayor of Porkville, hehe…

His theory as to why Mojo’s getting too fat? Aside from the obvious reason that he loves to stuff YangChow fried rice down his hatch, his clothes are too baggy…

Mo’s advice? Wear tight fitting clothes and you won’t be tempted to overeat… Kind of like a fish in a bowl analogy, the fish only grows as large as the bowl… 

YouTube videos

If you’re wondering what the funny video above is about, it’s the new Guitar Hero World Tour edition commercial that Mo found on YouTube… It was freaking hilarious seeing Kobe, Michael Phelps, A-Rod and Tony Hawk letting their hair down (well figuratively, at least)…

Another video which Mo mentioned but not quite as funny is the clip of a terrible skydiving accident wherein a skydiver is sucked out of the plane and gets stuck on the plane’s tail… Pretty grim, I thought…. Check it out here…

72 year old man stuck

Speaking of stuck, in response to a hot sounding nurse who called in, Mo related a story about a 72 year old man who got his wang stuck in a pipe after he tried to make unnatural love with it… It took hours for paramedics to free him… Darn, I can just imagine the embarrassment of it…

Kind of reminds me of Ben Stiller’s zipper scene in that laughaton “There’s Something About Mary”… Now that’s a funny movie… Hair gel anyone?

Boob job for a cause

I know I’ve said it a million times but let me just say it again, Mo Twister is a freaking genius… But enough ass kissing, let’s find out why…

Mo, read an email from a listener who according to her is a virgin, a certified NBSB (No boyfriend since birth) who is hardworking, smart and hot, well at least half hot… She claims that her face is pretty hot but she was cursed with an ironing board for a chest… Probably a negative A cup from her description…

Anyway, she wanted to ask Mo’s help and generosity if he would be willing to sponsor a boob job for her… To complete her transformation, to empower her, to make her more self confident, yada, yada, yada… I wonder where she got the idea? Maybe because Mo sponsored a boob job prior?

In typical Mo Twister fashion, he came up with the stroke of genius to do a fund raiser for the girl’s boob job… Sort of like a BOOB JOB FOR A CAUSE… He’s willing to chip in, not only with cash but also his connections in the beauty industry to make the girl’s dream come true but he wanted the listeners to chip in as well and make a collective effort for the girl… How noble, hehe…

To get things rolling, he asked the girl to send in a pic and he’s going to post it online (I’m volunteering my blog, Mo) and ask the listeners’ opinion if she is indeed hot and worth the boob job… If she is, he’s going to make her dreams come true…

Let’s see what comes out of this little plot of evil genius by Mr. Gumatay, hehe…

Rihanna interview

Well, there wasn’t… R&B superstar Rihanna had a scheduling conflict and was unavailable for the scheduled interview today with Mo and the gang…

Too bad, I was really looking forward to the interview… But it’s going to happen, I have faith…

Sex Drive

Mo asked the readers and Grace Lee whom he thinks has a relatively sedate sex drive if the difference in the sex drives of a couple results in problems for them in their relationship…

Grace refused to discuss the issue extensively but only said she didn’t think so…

My man Khalesh had a beautiful analogy… He said that he was more of a marathon runner while his wife was a 100 meter sprinter…

One caller boasted of his unflagging stamina claiming that he could last for 45 minutes while his girlfriend/wife was done in 10… That’s kind of hard to believe… Even the best porn stars can only last 30 minutes… I think 45 minutes is really stretching it, literally and figuratively…

I think the overall consensus was that, yes, it did have an effect and sometimes frustratingly so for the men…

Your humble blog just got a mention on the show today… Mo said it best, 60,000+ hits and counting… All thanks to you guys who’ve made this blog a daily habit (well except for weekends, hehe…)

Great show today for the voyeur in all of us… Secrets spilled left and right, they should do this segment more often… Read on for the juicy bits…

Million dollar mistakes

Mo shared an article on cnn.com about spectacularly bad rejections by actors for roles originally offered to them… The two most glaring ones:

Sean Connery was originally offered to play the role of Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and he was offered 15% of worldwide gross receipts for the role, a total that would have reached a whopping $400,000,000.00! He turned the role down because he’d never read the J.R.R. Tolkien series and claimed he “didn’t understand the script.”

The role eventually went to Ian McKellen and the rest, as they say is history…

Another bone-headed decision was by actor Will Smith who turned down the opportunity to play NEO in the Matrix trilogy to star in the badly received “Wild Wild West” movie…

However, in an interview with Wired, Smith said, “I would have absolutely messed up ‘The Matrix.’ At that point I wasn’t smart enough as an actor to let the movie be — whereas Keanu was.”

So I guess, all’s well that ends well… 

Kristie Kenney interview

US Ambassador Kristie Kenney was interviewed via phone patch on the show today and she talked about the upcoming presidential elections and the US electoral college.

According to Ambassador Kenney, voters do not, technically, participate in a direct election of the president. They choose “electors”, who are pledged to one or another candidate. This is known as the Electoral College.

Each state has a certain number of electors to the college, based on the size of its population.

In almost every state, the winner of the popular vote gets all the electoral college votes in that state. Because of this system, a candidate can take the White House without winning the popular vote, such as in the 2000 contest between George W Bush and Al Gore.

Strange system, but I guess it’s worked for years and at least they get the election results on the same day, which is more than what I can say for the Philippine electoral system…

Grace Lee dead drunk

Mo related a funny story about their trip to Hong Kong and Macau… Apparently, our favorite Korean DJ got absolutely plastered during their night out in one of the Macau hotspots… She was so piss drunk, she was puking all over the place and had to be helped to her room by the other lady DJ’s of Magic…

And as is customary when you have drunk people, she was dressed and cleaned up by Andi and the other ladies… Mo’s greatest regret is that they didn’t take a video of Grace being undressed and cleaned up, hehe… I absolutely agree, damn, that would have been one of those “priceless moments”…

Most annoying soundbites on radio

Mo surfed the local radio stations during the weekend and he recorded the most annoying soundbites he could find and he asked the gang, Mojo, Grace and Miguel to pick which one they disliked the most…

Amongst the contenders were:

“Kailangan pa bang i-memorize yan?”

“Hi, pangga!”

Castanets? or whatever annoying sound making device is used by the Boys Night Out crew…

Mo detested the “Kailangan pa bang i-memorize yan?” soundbite and declared it as the most annoying… Mojo, Grace and Miguel had their own choices…

A texter said that the most annoying one was Grace Lee’s “I love you Chiz Escudero!”, hehe…

Share a secret

Mo talked about a website where anyone could post anonymously a long and deeply held secret… If I recall correctly, he did this before and he got some pretty interesting stuff out there… So he began by asking the callers to phone in and share their deepest and darkest secrets:

Hot Mom

A male caller phoned in and shared the secret that he had banged not only his girlfriend but also his girlfriend’s hot Mom! Hmmm, I think every teen has had this fantasy at one time or another… This guy just got lucky he managed to live out his!

Call Center affairs

I don’t know what it is about call centers but some of the raunchiest stories I’ve heard come from people who’ve worked in call centers… A couple of female call center agents shared their secret affairs with married men who also worked in call centers…

I’m guessing that the stress is sometimes too much and the opportunities too many to let the chance go by… I loved Mo’s analogy about guys… He said that men are like fighter plane pilots who patrol the skies to protect their loved ones… They don’t like war, they don’t like to hurt people but when a Russian MIG enters their radar, they have to engage and fire away… FOX 1… Whoooosshhhh….

Sisterhood of the travelling pants

Another recurring theme that I noticed when people share secrets is the fascination with sisters… A male caller shared his story about how he courted a girl because he wanted to bang the girl’s sister and he eventually did, after he’d been going out with the elder sister, he got his chance and he did it with the hot younger sister…

Mo was green with envy at this guy, he sounded like a real Casanova… Well you can’t win them all Mo…

Band of brothers

I’m sure with that previous story there’d be a girl version of the same theme and I was spot on… A girl caller chimed in with her secret that she did the jiggy with the younger and better endowed brother of her then boyfriend (now husband)…

Mo gave her some advice and asked her to make sure that in future when she and her husband have kids, that she knew who the father of the child was…

Of course Mojo’s sistah’s had to have their share of airtime too and a caller phoned in to share the secret that he had with a priest… Apparently, during a retreat, he had some oral lovin’ time with a priest who had entered the priesthood because he was having “identity” issues…

The priest is now in Africa doing “missionary” work and is probably on “bended knees”… Aherrmmm…

Whew, that was fun!

Mo promised to do that segment once a month as it produced great radio…

I agree, it certainly appeals to the voyeur in all of us…

The gang was finally complete today with our radio supermodel diva Mojo Jojo finally back from his vacation in Iloilo. I never thought I’d say this but I really missed Mojo and with him back, the show had a totally different energy to it… Great times!

Let’s look back at what happened on the show today:

Born again Christians

There was a fairly heated discussion early in the show about Born again Christians… Just a bit of a backgrounder, our Mojo Jojo has shown a strong indication that they’re not really his favorite people for a number of reasons but mainly because of their condemnation of homosexuality which naturally didn’t sit well with Mojo…

Mojo called them a “cult” and Mo asked him to repeat the word over and over again just to get him in trouble with Born again Christian listeners, hehe…

Best Boobs in Hollywood

Well of course after all that “pious” talk, Mo reverted back to his true self and decided to talk about one of the subjects nearest and dearest to his heart, boobies!. In Touch Magazine in the US recently released their top 10 list of the best boobs in Hollywood for 2008. Among the topnotchers were:

10.  Beyonce Knowles – nice booty, too…
9.  Megan Fox – Oh yeah, man! That scene in Transformers with her leaning over to fix the Camaro, sigh…

Of course Mohan couldn’t resist doing a local version of the self same survey but this time for local celebrities. However, as any true connoisseur would know, there are disagreements amongst even the horndogs on such a controversial topic:

10. Francine Prieto – definitely should not be at number 10, probably top 3 all time…

Freeloaders

A good deal of time was spent on discussing freeloaders… Especially relatives, siblings, cousins, uncles and aunts who rely on their well off relatives for financial assistance… In other words, Le Parasite…

My take on this is that yes, if we’re filthy rich we definitely need to share the wealth around but if we’re just okay, meaning not too rich and not too poor either, then we shouldn’t be the “HOST” to their “PARASITE”…

Some of these freeloaders are just too shameless, hehe… And the worst thing is that if you yourself are strapped for cash and cannot give money to them, they’d get angry with you and call you an ingrate… Geez, what’s up with that?

What’s your take on this? Do you have parasitic relatives you need to get rid off? I’d recommend Combantrin, it kills roundworms, tapeworms and other critters…

Himala again

Mo played for the 2nd straight day, Bamboo’s live rendition of one of the best OPM songs of all time, HIMALA for Mojo Jojo’s benefit…

It never gets old, and I wouldn’t mind if they added that version to their regular playlist…

Goosebump inducing indeed!

Hong Kong and Macau

The gang will be in Macau and Hong Kong over the weekend as part of Magic 89.9’s annual overseas trip for  regular DJ’s. Now isn’t that a nice perk… I wish all companies were like that!

Categories Game

The lame game called the Categories Game made a comeback today for prizes comprising of GC’s courtesy of Fruit Magic… First category played was relatively interesting… Philippine dialects with Mo giving Visaya as a dialect… Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think Visaya is a dialect per se… The dialects falling under Visaya I believe would be: Waray, Cebuano, Ilonggo, etc… Mo won this round versus the caller…

Second category was Philippine fruits with Grace Lee going up against another female caller… The caller was very good with such native delicacies as Duhat and bayabas being mentioned… Needless to say, Grace lost this one, hehe…

Great to have Mojo Jojo back… For all the bitching that Mo does regarding Mojo, I think the show is indeed so much better with Mojo around… He gives the show the “gay” touch which is just so funny…

John Travolta - Stayin Alive!

The show today barely coasted along but in a true testament to Mo’s talent, he still managed to make the show entertaining… And of course Grace Lee was there to help things along…

What screwed up Mo’s plans for today’s show was Ruffa Mae Quinto’s no-show… Mo had planned the show around Ruffa Mae with questions on the Celebrity Trivia segment plus a round of Forbidden Questions… I’m sure Peachy would have been a great subject…

Although, according to Mo she apologized and promised to be there next week to do the show with them… Hopefully, Forbidden Questions with Ruffa Mae Quinto? Yeah man!

Now on to the show’s highlights:

Chiz Escudero vs. Bamboo

A caller phoned in recalling Bamboo’s out of this world performance of the hit song “Himala” and promptly asked Grace that considering the similarity in features between Chiz and Bamboo, who she would prefer, Chiz or Bamboo…

Grace unequivocally picked Chiz… I guess she really did mean it when she said “I LOVE YOU CHIZ ESCUDERO”.

Angelina’s breastfeeding photos

Mo shared the news that pictures of Angelina breastfeeding her new baby, taken by her partner, Brad Pitt, were now available online on Mo’s favorite celebrity website, www.egotastic.com.

The photos, taken in black and white and somewhat grainy were sold to W Magazine with the proceeds of the sale going to charity…

It’s not like we haven’t seen Angelina naked before (Original Sin, anyone?) but she still has some decent pulling power…

Hmmm, I want some milk!

Bacon power

I didn’t know this bit of trivia but apparently my man Mo is in love with those little pieces of thinly sliced and perfectly seasoned pork taken from Ms. Piggy’s belly called “bacon”…

He loves it so much that he listed a number of ridiculous things he would do for a bowl of perfectly cooked bacon, including cutting off his left arm, hehe…

The callers chimed in with their own lists of things they’d be willing to give up for bacon… It ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous and everything else in between…

I love bacon but cutting off my left arm for it? No frigging way! Imagine doing your business in the restroom with one hand only?

Himala Replay

Mo replayed the portion of yesterday’s show when Bamboo sang “Himala”… It was awesome then and it was awesome today… Goosebumps, hehe…

CPR to the tune of Stayin Alive

I read about this article a few days ago and I thought that it was strangely apt for the procedure of CPR…  And no, it’s not a hoax, there is a proven scientific study which states that doctors or paramedics who use the song “Stayin Alive” by the Bee Gees helped keep them within the ideal threshold of 100 compressions per minute in order to increase the chances of reviving a victim…

For the less optimistic first aid practitioner, Queen’s “Another one bites the dust” also helps keep the same beat…

A lot of today’s discussions were derived from that indispensable research tool, the Internet… Mo shared the story of a 22 year old student who was selling her virginity on the internet… According to the news article, the girl (who really isn’t that hot) had gotten bids of up to US$3.8M for her virginity…

This just confirms my theory about high priced paintings and well, expensive hymens… People will pay huge sums for something “unattainable” or for exclusivity… Geez, for US$3.8M I’d do just about anything, hehe…

Damn, but that’s one expensive hymen!

Forgetful girl

A caller phoned in regarding the topic of multiple partners and she said that her boyfriend who’s supposedly a good looking dude had a lot of partners prior to her, around 25 or so… She’s also been around the block with 15 or so but for the life of her she couldn’t remember the exact number, hehe…

Her dilemma was that her boyfriend wasn’t down with her having had a lot of experience… Talk about double standards, hehe…

However what stood out for Mo was the fact that the girl couldn’t remember the number of men she’d been to bed with… It shattered one of his dearly held beliefs that females “remember” every man they’ve slept with…

The caller said that some men were just “forgettable”… Ouch!

First boyfriend at 37

To wrap up the show, a caller related a story of how his 38 year old wife and he got together (he’s only 24)… He was very proud of the fact that he married his wife when she was still a virgin… A couple more years and she’d have starred in the movie “The 40 year old virgin”….

Great story though and good luck to the caller and their new baby…

Woohoo! A free concert by Bamboo on our favorite morning radio show, Good Times with Mo… This is part of Mo’s extended birthday celebration and as any true fan knows, Bamboo is Mo’s man crush so this is a big deal for my man Mo…

This will be a relatively short blog as the show was mostly Bamboo singing the latest songs from their new album “Tomorrow becomes yesterday”…

Andi9 and Grace Lee centerfolds

Andi9 was on hand to join Mo and Grace during the first part of the show and she shared the news that she and Grace Lee were both offered to do cover shots for an unnamed men’s magazine… Grace has decided to say “No” to the offer but Andi9 hasn’t made up her mind at this point…

Oh come on Grace, don’t be such a killjoy, hehe…

My guess is that either MAXIM or FHM is pursuing them for the cover shoot… Mo was encouraging them to do it because as he said, they’re both young, pretty and with gorgeous bodies.

I agree with Mo 100% on this one… Go for it Andi and Grace!

I think Grace and Andi’s main fear is that they’ll be jackoff material once they do the cover shoot… I know that Andi’s parents won’t like it but Andi’s a grown woman and she should decide on whether she really wants to do it…

There is still hope though… Andi said that she’ll consider doing it if she and Grace were to be offered to do the cover together… Come on FHM and Maxim, what are you waiting for? Do a double shoot, it’s twice the fun and I’ll be first in line to buy my copy…

Caller from Africa

It continues to amaze me that fans who are in various parts of the world continue to tune in to our favorite radio show and even wake up at odd hours just for the opportunity to listen to the show…

A perfect example is a seasman who is based on a ship sailing around Africa who listens to the show on his laptop and took the opportunity to phone in to the show and give his two cents…

Now that’s what I call dedication! Kudos to you and our other brave men on ships sailing around the world…

Chris Brown

Hiphop and R&B artist Chris Brown called the show to promote his upcoming concert with scorching hot singer Rihanna (who just happens to be his girlfriend) this coming November 16.

It was an interesting interview with Chris being pretty articulate and Mo doing his usual excellent job during the interview…

Chris talked about his music, his career at this point (he’s only 19), collaboration with other artists, wearing bling and splurging and of course, the upcoming concert with Rihanna.

Bamboo in concert

One of my favorite Pinoy rakistas, Bamboo, was on hand to greet our birthday boy, “Happy Birthday” and make his day just so much more special…

Bamboo together with his bandmates, Ira Cruz on guitars, Nathan Azarcon on bass, Vic Mercado on drums put together an awesome show singing songs from their new album “Tomorrow Becomes Yesterday” and my favorite OPM song as well as Mo’s, “Himala”.

Although it was still early in the morning and there were several technical glitches, Bamboo kicked ass with the able support of his bandmates…

His rendition of HIMALA was awe-inspiring and I just listened in my car and allowed the lyrics, the melodies and the music to wash over me… Damn, I’m waxing poetic again, hehe…

As you know, Bamboo is Mo’s man crush and he seemed kind of nervous during the early part of the show when he was interviewing Bamboo… Grace was giddy, hehe… Maybe because Bamboo reminded her of Chiz Escudero, hehe…

Good times with Mo (Oct. 20, 2008)

Shrek and Fiona (The Farting King and Queen)

The show flew by so fast but strangely I missed our favorite radio supermodel diva extraordinaire, Mojo Jojo. .. I guess it’s true what they say, the show has a different feel to it with a member or two missing but at least with Mo on board the show was entertaining enough to still have me grinning stupidly while driving…

Mojo Jojo is in Iloilo for some R&R so it was just Mo, Grace and Miguel delivering the goods for today…

Farts and old people

Mo started the show with a discussion on marriage but somehow the discussion deviated to the topic of farts. Now, as everyone knows, Mo loves to rip one off whenever the urge seizes him and he’s never been held back by the fact that he’s on national radio or on TV… Which is just Mo being Mo and also the reason why we love him so much… Okay that sounded a little too gay…

Mo said that as one gets older, the lesser one cares about one’s appearance and what others think about you… Which is why he said that when he’s hitting his 80’s he’ll probably enjoy walking around naked in malls wearing nothing but an adult diaper, hehe…

Grace related a funny story about how her grandma, yeah the one with the hanging boobs, used to embarrass them when they went out to these formal restaurants and she’d take the occasion to let one rip as loud as she can… Cool thing was that she’d raise a butt cheek off the chair to ease the fart out more comfortably, pretty gross eh? Grace and her family wanted to crawl under the table in embarrassment whenever this happened, hehe

Marriage and farting

Some more fart topics… I don’t know what happened but most of the early morning was devoted to farts!

Grace said that she’s never farted in front of her boyfriend and he’s never let one rip in front of her too… Hmmm, could be because they’re relatively new but let’s give them some time and I’m sure the shyness will wear off and I’ll bet they’ll start ripping them off…

A number of callers chimed in and said that they only held back when they were boyfriend and girlfriend but when they got married everything was fair game and gloves were off (or in this case, the buttplugs)…

Shrek and Fiona didn’t even wait for the getting to know you period but started ripping off in the “bath tub scene” during their honeymoon in one of the more memorable scenes in Shrek 2… Geez that movie was funny!

Grace Lee kidnapped (almost)

Grace took the place of Mojo Jojo and she had a lot of input for today’s show… Even relating a story that she almost got kidnapped when she was a 4 year old in Korea… She was out shopping with Mom when a kidnapper took the opportunity when her mother was busy rummaging sale items to spirit her away… Good thing her Mom saw her just before they went out the door and had the guy arrested…

Well I’m glad that you got spared that horrible experience Grace!

Mo said that her story sounded like one that Mojo Jojo would come up with, hehe…

Ghost hunting

I was right about the ghost hunting activity the gang had last Thursday night… It was for the Halloween edition of Good times on Studio 23… Right now, the show is in between seasons and they’re showing re-runs… I think the haunted hospital visit will be the first episode of Season 3.

Anyway, Mo described the site as one of the scariest places he’s ever visited… Check out the creepy pics on the left and you’ll get an idea of what he’s talking about… The hospital is located in Clark and it’s in the middle of nowhere… Imagine walking around the place at night? Cool!

Forbidden Questions with Listeners

Mo the genius that he is, always comes up with innovative ideas and he came up with a gem… Having listeners call in and answer Forbidden Questions questions, makes sense?

Kench, a “hot sounding” 18 year old caller was asked:

Q: Have you ever been intimate with something non-human?

A: Yes, a cellphone…

Mo got more than he bargained for with just the first question and he lauded the merits of having a vibrating cellphone and the fact that he was sure that a lot of similarly bored girls took a look at their cellphones and said: “Hmmm, I wonder what it feels like…”

Miguel was there so Mo couldn’t launch into a more lecherous discussion (Marou, Miguel’s mother was there as well)…

I loved the callers, they were game!

Free Gas from Caltex

As part of Mo’s birthday celebration, Caltex gave away free gas worth P1,000.00 per listener who visited 3 participating Caltex stations and who would greet Mo a “Happy Birthday”…

30 listeners per station were given free gas so a total of P90,000.00 was given away by Caltex…

Guess what? It was gone in like 20 minutes, hehe…

Is it just me or I just don’t have luck in contests like these?

Best makeout movies

Finally, to close the show, Mo introduced the topic of best makeout movies… If you will recall, Grace lost her virginity when she watched the movie “Cruel Intentions” and she was so moved, she had to “lose it”, hehe…

According to Mo, his favorite makeout movie was “Before Sunset” with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy… Haven’t seen this movie though but I’ll download it just for kicks…

Hmmmm, I loved “50 first dates”, its cheesy but I loved the story and the soundtrack… I’m sure you can get the jiggy on with it…

Great news for tomorrow, Bamboo will have a concert on the show plus Chris Brown will be calling in to promote his concert with Rihanna…

Watch out for it!

T’was a pretty laid back show today but I still found myself grinning from ear to ear particularly from caller Bea… She’s one funny girl… Getting ahead of myself again though…

Barack Obama vs. John McCain

With the US presidential election just a few weeks away, a caller asked Mo his opinion on the hotly contested race… Mo thinks that Obama will bury McCain with an avalanche of votes, in other words, he’ll win by a landslide… I hope so too, I like Barack… He’s very charismatic and he seems to have a solid plan for the US economy which impacts our own economy as well which is why I’m so interested in the results of their election…

And let’s face it, McCain is old, 72 years old… I mean, he’s positively ancient… Admittedly, he seems a bit spry for his age but his ideas are as old as he is which means his management style would probably be old school as well…

Go Barack!

Fees, fees and more fees

There was a topic raised by a caller regarding yesterday’s topic on tips, fees and other stupid charges… Mojo raised an interesting point about Meralco’s charges for system losses… I’m sure you’ve heard about this what with Juday espousing the Lopez’ propaganda on this barefaced highway robbery… I mean, being asked to pay for electricity theft and other power losses? How is that my problem?

A student from my alma mater called in and lamented the fact that parking fees are so high at UST… I couldn’t relate coz I rode the jeepney when I was still at UST… Mo asked him about the perennial flooding in Espana in front of UST and how students are often stranded in school and have to spend the night there… That happened to me quite often when I was still studying there… Oh and the stories about students getting the jiggy on while stranded overnight? Never happened to me unfortunately, hehe…

Food poisoning

A caller phoned in to ask if he could bring some food to the station and Mo started thinking that it’d be so easy to get rid of them by poisoning their food… The reason being is that they gobble down food brought by fans, food outlets and other people without a second thought…

Grace and Mojo said not to give the listeners any ideas, hehe…

Nah, who’d do that other than Mojo trying to get back at Mo?

The Vermin suspended

My man Mo got an early birthday present with the news that The Vermin, The Despicable One, Satan’s Offspring and she with the other lovely nicknames has been suspended indefinitely from The Buzz…

Woohoo! Mo sure got a kick out of that one… It almost topped the fact that Bamboo is going to have a birthday concert for him on the show next Tuesday…

Grace mentioned the fact that Brian Gorrell put up on his blog my post on an imaginary guesting The Vermin did for the Forbidden Questions of GTWM…

Speaking of Bamboo, my man Mo gave us the scoop yesterday evening that indeed, Bamboo will be holding a concert on the Good times show this coming Tuesday…

That’s a big deal coz you never hear Bamboo doing a concert on any radio show…

Can’t wait for that and I do hope he sings HIMALA… Mo, start begging…

Who’s the oldest virgin out there?

Mo tried to revive the topic of the 105 year old virgin which I blogged about before by asking the callers to chime in and admit on air if they’re still a virgin…

I thought that there’d be a ton of callers claiming to be virgins with probably a lot of posers as well but, surprise, surprise, not a single caller gave their two cents…

So what does that tell you? No more virgins under the age of 16 in the Philippines? I really think they’re losing it earlier and earlier…

Geoff and Tisha

Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang were on hand to promote The Amazing Race Asia as the Philippine representative to this around the world race… Last season they had Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez as the Philippine representative and they sure kicked ass, winning almost every leg of the race but unfortunately getting screwed by flags in the final leg…

Geoff (aka Michael Scofield) and Tisha are doing well so far but they can’t disclose any information outside of what’s currently showing on TV coz they’ll get penalized a whopping US$5,000,000.00  Yup, that many zeroes…

I like them though I haven’t seen all the episodes, I like their chemistry and I do hope they kick ass and romp off with the US$100,000.00 grand prize…

Wang Power Part 2

Remember Bea, the girl who was dating the loser with the anaconda stuffed down his pants? Well she called again today and she was dumped by her boyfriend who unfortunately heard her on air and dropped her like a hot potato…

I can empathize but realistically speaking that’s the best thing that could have happened to her… She’s young and there are just so many wangs out there! Maybe not quite as long…

I was laughing at Mo’s advice to her… “Buy a cucumber or something”… “I’ll introduce you to two African American friends I know…”

Geoff was more poetic… “Love is not measured by inches, or in this case meters or feet”

A ton of horndogs started texting in asking for the girl’s number, hehe… Boys will be boys!

Sports shows and hot girls

Finally, Mo talked about sports shows and the resident eye candy you can find on these shows… He said that he never even looked at the girls and was just interested in the box scores…

Another thing is the presence of hot girls at car shows and showrooms… He said that he wasn’t interested in the girls, just the car’s spec sheet… Hmmm, well can’t you do both Mo?

By the way, don’t forget to watch Mo’s show on ANC this coming Sunday at 8PM, it’s called iMO (In My Opinion with Mo Twister)… Damn good show last time… Mo in a different light (or at least during part of the show!)

Good Times with Mo (Oct. 15, 2008)

The dreaded Brown Lady

Technical problems hounded the show today and callers kept getting cut off and it really affected the quality of the show… Good thing the problem got partially fixed later in the day and some of the calls started going through… Provincial line was okay though…

Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, let’s get started:

Too hip parents

Mo opened the show with the topic of parents who are too hip for their age… You know the type, 50 to 60 year old socialites who are still partying in Embassy with plunging necklines down to their navels and the DOM type with the earring in the left ear and the trophy girlfriend from Classmates or Pegasus…

Grace stated that one particular type of too hip dads which she dislikes are the ones in basketball jerseys with the long, long shorts (hmmm, isn’t that an oxymoron?)… Imagine John McCain dressed as Snoop Dog…

Mojo had another hilarious story about his dad who went through a phase when he thought he was Jamaican… Yeah, a 5′2″ Asian guy wearing brightly printed shirts and shorts without the dreadlocks dancing to reggae music… Probably talking like a Jamaican, too… Yeah MAN…

Lots of callers got cut off at this stage including a 50 something guy who confessed to Mo prior to being cut off that he not only wears an earring but he also has a “wang ring”…

Maria Korea as usual was scandalized by the “wang ring” idea… Mo offered to give Grace’s boyfriend a wang ring as a gift with Mo and Mojo guessing the ring size of Grace’s boyfriend…

Mo guessed  a size “3″ on a range of 1 to 7, hehe…

The guide to FWB’s

Mo steered the talk to another interesting topic he read on, surprise, surprise, CNN… The article, written by a lady, aims to provide a guide to having and maintaining an FWB (Friends with Benefits)… Also more commonly known here as FUBU’s (nope, it’s not the clothing brand)…

For the uninitiated, FWB’s or FUBU’s are people whom you have an intimite relationship with but with no strings attached… Meaning, for horndogs, manna from heaven…

Now back to the guide:

Language – be careful about the words you use… Pronouns such as “we”, “us” and “our” are to be avoided like the plague… This implies a level of togetherness which runs counter to the true principles of FWB… Start using these words and watch your FUBU head for the hills…

Meals - all meals in a formal setting (i.e. where you have to sit down and order) are to be avoided at all costs… This means breakfast, lunch, dinner, or brunch…. Acceptable meals are those which can be eaten in bed or standing up…

Conversations – Acceptable questions are “When can we meet?”, “Do you want to do it?” or “Your place or mine?”… Anything deeper than that including conversations pertaining to family, friends and other personal questions are strictly off limits…

Socializing - He doesn’t meet your friends, you don’t meet his. That goes double for family members. The best thing about having a FWB is that he’s your dirty little secret.

I agree with most of the recommendations here… Chime in if you have more tips and tricks to maintaining an FWB…

Haunted hospital visit

In line with the upcoming Halloween, Mo, Mojo, Grace and Andi9 are going to an abandoned hospital somewhere up North with a reputation for being haunted… They will be accompanied by ghostbusters and psychics… I’m not sure if Casper will be making an appearance, but you never know…

I don’t know if the visit is for a Good times on Studio 23 episode but it sure sounds like fun…

Ghost hunting anyone?

Of course the talk turned to ghosts and the fact that Mo doesn’t believe they exist at all… In fact, he’s so confident that they’re bullcrap that he’ll go inside the haunted hospital alone with a night vision camera and probably do some cartwheels and use chalk to write 666 on the walls…

Resident radio diva Mojo Jojo naturally had his own share of creepy stories which everybody listened to while Mo was snorting in the background with snide comments like “You’re such a liar, Joseph”…

The gist of Mojo’s story was that he and his boyfriend together with some friends went up to Baguio and stayed at a place there for the night… According to him, the lights flickered and when the lights came on, they “saw” a Japanese soldier in full WWII battle regalia… Well, of course there had to be a kicker, eh? The kicker was that they saw the soldier in “sepia”, hehe… That killed it for me! I mean, why would the ghostly soldier be in sepia?

Wang power

There was an interesting caller named Bea who asked for advice from the gang on her love problem… Background: Bea has been with her boyfriend for 4 years (she’s around 21 now) and she’s really in love with the guy… Unfortunately, due to financial problems, the guy had to stop studying… he worked for a call center for a year but he stopped and he’s now basically a bum… A bum who loves playing computer games (probably DOTA), hehe…

Of course Mo, Mojo and Grace advised her to dump the loser but boy, was I surprised at her answer… She couldn’t dump him because he was such a good “lay”… His wang power had her mesmerized and she couldn’t leave him for fear that she would miss the rolls in the hay too much…

I mean the guy must have an anaconda down there and he must know how to use it…

Lucky bastard, hehe…

Mojo advised her that down the line 3 to 5 years from now, reality will hit her or the guy’s wang will finally slap some sense into her and she’ll really regret staying with the loser (albeit, a well hung one)…

Gratuities

Mo ended the show with a rather controversial topic involving the propriety of tipping waiters… Grace and Mojo chimed in that they don’t mind giving generous tips provided that they’re happy witht the service rendered by the server…

Mo was of the opinion that the job of the waiter isn’t really that hard and that they don’t deserve tips… Mojo countered that waiters are seriously underpaid and that they rely on tips to make a decent living…

I’d have to disagree with Mo on this one though… Much as I’d hate to admit it… I’m okay with giving tips for the same reason that Mojo and Grace had… If the waiters were polite and they go the extra mile to make you happy during your dinner, I think tips are really warranted…

I hate giving tips to “watch your car” boys who don’t really watch your car at all nor to the “atras” boys who seemingly appear out of thin air when you’re backing up your car and “help” you back out on a deserted street…

Hi guys, sorry for the much delayed blog post, I’ve been really busy with that dirty four letter word… WORK…

Finally escaped from the meetings and had the time to sit down and start blogging…

Dreading dental visits

Mo had a toothache today and related how he really dreads going to the dentist… I mean who doesn’t, right? I’ve yet to meet a person who actually loved going to the dentist’s office… Well, except for the dentist himself, hehe…

So he comes up with a wacky suggestion for a new job… A dental assassin… Someone who knocks you out and drags you to the dental office to get your teeth pulled…

Not very practical but good for a few laughs…

According to Forbes magazine, here’s the top ten list of the most valuable faces on the cover of magazines…

Celebrity Squeeze off contest

Mo was reminiscing about his favorite squeeze off celebs and he picked Sheryl Cruz as his all time squeeze off celeb. Mojo offered the late Rico Yan and Troy Montero as his favorite squeeze off celebs… Mojo let it slip that he also squeezed one off to Carlos Agassi…  I mean really? Carlos Agassi?

Mo also lamented the fact that kids nowadays just had to check out the internet to find their favorite celebrity pictures… He had to cut out the photos from magazines to squeeze off to, hehe…

Some other classic squeeze off celebs would probably be Anjanette Abayari and Nanette Medved, hehe..

You got to love Mo’s honesty, hehe…

Tips on dating hot women

Mo read this article about how to treat hot women… The gist of it is that you DON’T treat the hot girl any more special than other girls… Kind of reverse psychology… The rationale is that uber hot girls are so used to being fawned over that their interest gets piqued by the guy who tends to give them the brush off…

Breastfeeding in public

The gang had a spirited discussion about the merits of breastfeeding and the fact that breastfeeding helps to reduce the risk of breast cancer…

Anton triggered the discussion with the news that Angelina Jolie will be releasing some photos of her breastfeeding taken by her partner, Brad Pitt… Can’t wait for that, hehe…

If you ask me, I’m all for it… Let’s see more breasts in public!

Piercings and bolitas

This discussion had me laughing all the way to the office… Somehow the topic veered to the topic of bolitas and piercings… Apparently, Mojo has had quite some experience with guys who’ve had piercings in their privates… Mo called Mojo such a slut and whore, hehe…

As usual, our Maria Korea, was shocked and started screaming when he explained bolitas and piercings in the unmentionables…

Damn Mojo, you’ve surely had a well-rounded sex life…

Maria Korea had a funny question on the bolitas… When you go through metal detectors wouldn’t it trigger the metal detectors?

Rocco needs training

Mo is asking for help to control his English bulldog, Rocco, which is starting to bite anybody that tries to stop him whenever he’s trying to eat glass, leather and other deadly stuff…

Any dog trainers around who can help him?
