The ever reliable tabo

The ever reliable tabo

Today’s show was hi-larious! The trio was on point and had me in stitches! Darn, I looked like an idiot whilst driving with this stupid grin on my face, hehe… Arrgggghh, my cheeks hurt from smiling too much…

A lot of the callers were really funny and really contributed to the quality of the show…

Great job guys!

Read on for the highlights:

Pinoy guy fired for using water

Mo got an update about this story which pissed off all Pinoys who heard or read about it… A brief backgrounder: A Pinoy working in Australia was fired from his job apparently because he uses water instead of tissue to clean his ass after taking a dump…

Very typical Pinoy right?

In its defense, the company which fired our kababayan stated that they had previously warned the guy about his habit of washing his ass instead of using tissue because he would splash water all over the bowl in the process of cleaning his privates and he’d leave disgusting fecal matter on the side and rim of the bowl…

Yeah, not a very appetizing vision I would imagine… Sorry for the graphic description, hehe…

I guess it’s up to the courts to decide, as for me… Tabo pa rin, hehe…

judgemyjunk.org updates

No, I haven’t sent in a picture of my junk yet but I’m seriously considering it, hehe… What I’m curious to find out is if any of my readers have actually sent in a picture of their junk… Come on, fess up guys!

A caller named Totoy Obama sent in a pic of his junk with the Philippine Star edition featuring President Barack Obama being sworn into office… Nothing unusual in that except that this guy was exceptionally “gifted” and he drew raves from Mo and Mojo… Their only critique was that it twisted to the left and then to the right, hehe….

Mo also asked the uber hot girl who sent a photo of her body for Mo’s delectation, hehe… It’s currently serving as Mo’s wallpaper! Calling hot girl, please call the show!

Naming your junk

Mo commented on men’s habit of naming their junks and he went round the table and asked Mojo and Grace if they’ve ever named their junk… Mo started off by stating that his junk is named Stanley… Nothing too flashy, he said because it’s always better to be understated and then exceed expectations… πŸ™‚

Mojo named his “Shalimar” hehe… Gaaaayyyyy! Oh yeah, he is gay… what am I talking about? πŸ™‚

Maria Korea of course hadn’t even thought of naming her junk, what a weird idea, hehe… A caller suggested Rose… Yeah, it sounds good… it sounds “pristine”… Perfect for Grace…

Some callers gave their two cents on this topic, among them:

  1. “Jack” – fairly obvious and I’m guessing his last name is “Off”
  2. “Boyet” – this one had me in stitches, the name was so pedestrian and so Pinoy, hehe…
  3. “El Filibusterismo” – solid…
  4. “Bin Laden” – coz it was so hairy and when it got mad, it’ll “terrorize” your ass… πŸ™‚

What’s your junk called?

Bogus call

There was this caller who was so fake he was funny… He claimed to be a doctor from Vegas and he said that he was on a Northwest flight when an “emergency” happened on the plane and he played “hero”…. He kept changing details of his story and he used terms which a “real” doctor wouldn’t use…

Of course the human lie detector named Mo saw through his story quickly enough but he allowed him to continue because the manner in which he spoke was so theatrical it was hi-larious… πŸ™‚

Ahhh, what some guys will do for their two minutes of fame…

Presidentiables

A caller phoned in and asked them who their top picks are for President of the republic after President GMA steps down from public office…

Among the names floated by Grace was Chiz (of course!!!)… I love you Chiz Escudero! Mo felt though that he would be better served by running for VP and getting some more experience under his belt considering his relative youth… But then again, the people are fickle and in politics, timing is everything…

Manny’s name was nominated by Mojo and I think Mo agreed on this one… I have my doubts that Manny will win though, he just doesn’t seem to have the X factor which defines the next president…

BF? Nah, the whole Philippines will probably be gayer than Mojo Jojo… I mean, come on, pink everywhere?

Jobama Binay already has a slogan – “Jobama, barako para sa pagbabago”… Yeah right! And their political dynasty represents change? I’m willing to bet that there will be a Binay ruling Makati when I’m already using a cane, addicted to Viagra and choking on my dentures while eating tikoy…

Prostate cancer

Mo presented this rather scary research to all the horndogs out there… It’s a cautionary tale so it behooves our species to listen… Recent studies have indicated that excessive jacking off will increase your chances of having prostate cancer…

Damn! And all this while I thought it was good for your health…

Ergo, I suggest a hiatus for Mary Palmer guys… Give her a break for now… πŸ™‚

Charlize!

There was this lady caller who got me all hot and bothered, hehe… Her name was Charlize and she was asking if it was normal for guys to NOT jack off…

The reason that she asked was that Mo had earlier propounded that it is the norm for men to have their way with themselves if they’re alone and naked…

She eventually confessed that it was her boyfriend who had this peculiarity and that her sex drive was stronger than his… She wanted it at least twice a day and thrice on Sundays, hehe…

As expected, all the guys listening in at the time started to text in and ask for Charlize’s number… Yours truly included, hehe… Some particularly desperate ones proclaimed their undying love (lust?) and claimed that Charlize was their soulmate, hehe… Yeah right!

Charlize, my email is pinoydiscus@gmail.com…. Sorry, just had to get that one out there, hehe…

Consensual rape

Another caller who had an interesting story to share asked for advice on what to do after her boyfriend of 2 years got her drunk and proceeded to have his way with her…

Mojo and Grace immediately cried “RAPE!” but Mo was more sedate and tried to elicit more information from our caller… Apparently, they’re back together despite the forced entry as the caller stated that she still “loved” the guy despite his actions…

Mo’s advice, break up with the guy… Partly because of what he did but more importantly so she could be her own woman and not have to follow whatever this guy says…

Methinks the advice is sound…

What do you think guys?

Very, very entertaining show today and sorry for the lack of a blog yesterday… Just swamped with work… πŸ™‚

Well it pays the bills… What can I say? πŸ™‚

Good times!

Good times with Mo (Forbidden Questions With Ruffa Mae Quinto)

Posted in Most Recent Posts with tags , , , on January 21, 2009 by Benj

ruffa-mae-2An unannounced edition of Forbidden Questions was held today with the boobsilicious Ms. Ruffa Mae Quinto as the celebrity on the hot seat. Even Mojo and Grace were seemingly caught off guard by the change in plans but they gamely joined the Q&A.

Mo wisely lowered the listeners’ expectations of Ruffa Mae’s stint on FQ by saying that despite her unabashed roles in the movies and TV, Ruffa is actually very shy in person and is loathe to reveal very personal details…

He predicted a low score for her which proved prophetic…

Read on for the transcript and other extracts from today’s show:

Bushisms

With the assumption of President Obama of the presidency of the United States of America, former President George “Dubya” Bush is leaving a “legacy” of bumbling speeches and incoherent mumblings, officially known as Bushisms.

Jay Leno and other comedians had a field day with Bush precisely because of this… He will be missed, hehe…

Mo shared some soundbites of the most memorable gaffes of Dubya for our entertainment:

β€’ “I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.” – September 2000, explaining his energy policies at an event in Michigan.

β€’ “Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?” – January 2000, during a campaign event in South Carolina.

β€’ “There’s no doubt in my mind, not one doubt in my mind, that we will fail.” – Oct. 4, 2001, in Washington. Bush was remarking on a back-to-work plan after the terrorist attacks.

β€’ “I want to thank the dozens of welfare-to-work stories, the actual examples of people who made the firm and solemn commitment to work hard to embetter themselves.” – April 18, 2002, at the White House.

β€’ “There’s an old saying in Tennessee – I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee – that says, fool me once, shame on – shame on you. Fool me – you can’t get fooled again.” – Sept. 17, 2002, in Nashville, Tennessee.

β€’ “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” – Aug. 5, 2004, at the signing ceremony for a defense spending bill.

β€’ “Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren’t able to practice their love with women all across this country.” – Sept. 6, 2004, at a rally in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

β€’ “Our most abundant energy source is coal. We have enough coal to last for 250 years, yet coal also prevents an environmental challenge.” – April 20, 2005, in Washington.

β€’ “We look forward to hearing your vision, so we can more better do our job.” – Sept. 20, 2005, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

β€’ “I can’t wait to join you in the joy of welcoming neighbors back into neighborhoods, and small businesses up and running, and cutting those ribbons that somebody is creating new jobs.” – Sept. 5, 2005, when Bush met with residents of Poplarville, Mississippi, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

β€’ “It was not always a given that the United States and America would have a close relationship. After all, 60 years we were at war 60 years ago we were at war.” – June 29, 2006, at the White House, where Bush met with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.

β€’ “The people in Louisiana must know that all across our country there’s a lot of prayer – prayer for those whose lives have been turned upside down. And I’m one of them. It’s good to come down here.” – Sept. 3, 2008, at an emergency operations center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after Hurricane Gustav hit the Gulf Coast.

β€’ “This thaw – took a while to thaw, it’s going to take a while to unthaw.” Oct. 20, 2008, in Alexandria, Louisiana, as he discussed the economy and frozen credit markets.

Death wish

Caller Maxene shared a story she had about a motorcylist who bumped her car’s side mirror as she was driving on her way to school… The guy didn’t even bother to stop and so she dropped the F*** bomb on him… Unfortunately, she dropped it on-air as well, hehe… Good thing Mo didn’t drop the phone on her… πŸ™‚

You might think that that’s the end of the story but before the guy sped off, Maxene uttered a silent prayer for the hit and run motorcyclist to have a nasty and unexpected surprise of his own…

Lo and behold, not a few hundred meters from where she was sideswiped, Maxene saw the self-same motorcyclist with his helmet off and lying motionless beside another car and his bike… Apparently, it was bumped by the car… Bystanders were saying the guy was probably dead due to the impact…

Mojo said it was karma… πŸ™‚

Mo said, yeah, the life of a man for a side mirror… Sounds like a fair deal… πŸ™‚

Seriously, I hope the guy’s okay even though I detest the undisciplined motorcyclists who weave in and out of traffic like they recently donned an invincibility cloak… πŸ™‚

What do you think? Karma or coincidence?

Hooker Street

A caller asked Mojo why he hasn’t visited the QC Memorial circle recently… Mo couldn’t relate, hehe… For those who can’t either, the QC Memorial circle at night is a known hangout of hookers and gigolos… Just like Quezon Avenue, hehe…

Grace opined that the street behind her condo is where the action is… Somewhere at the end of Pearl Drive… She shared a story where she was scandalized by a (most probably) male prostitute, who suddenly crossed the street as she was driving along and started taking his shirt off for her delectation, hehe…

Poor Grace, her virgin eyes (oh well, I know, she’s no longer a virgin) were scandalized out of their sockets, hehe…

Platonic relationships

A caller asked for advice on whether it is possible for a male and a female to have a purely platonic friendship despite the fact that they’re married…

Mo was of the opinion that it was impossible but Grace countered that it was possible as long as they kept the meetings to public places and if you avoid being alone with the “friend”…

Caller said that her husband insisted on having drinking sessions with his ex-girlfriend almost every night and that he defended his position by saying that they were only friends and that nothing was happening between them…

Yeah, right and Mojo Jojo is straight… πŸ™‚

Wake up girl! Geez…

Good times with Mo (November 20, 2008)

Today’s show was fun for so many reasons and it was a great wrap up for the week… Kudos to the gang for putting on such a wonderful series of shows and I’m sure I speak for the other fans of the show as well when I say, GREAT JOB, GUYS!

Enough of the asskissing, let’s talk about the show’s highlights… πŸ™‚

Advice from Maria Korea

As is the norm, there were a lot of young callers during the early parts of the show… A young female caller aged 14 sought some advice from Grace Lee on how to capture the heart of a young Korean lad who was 2 years older than she was…

Grace’s advice was to show interest in Korean culture, teach him to speak our language and other sensible advice… Impressive Grace, twins notwithstanding I love Grace’s mind… πŸ™‚

Pirates of the Caribbean

Well they’re not exactly in theΒ  Caribbean but off the West African coast, still, it was a catchy header, hehe… Mo shared the news about Somali pirates seizing an oil tanker and berthing it in pirate-infested Somali waters…

But he was complaining that the Somali pirates don’t look anything like the pirates we see in movies… No outlandish costumes, no parrot on the shoulder, no wooden foot, no hook and worse they spoke Swahili, hehe…

To be fair to them, they do carry machine guns and rocket launchers…

Arrhhh, mateys… String em up and let em walk the plank!

Amazing Race Asia Finale

Philippine representatives to the Amazing Race Asia Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang were on hand to plug the show’s finale tonight on AXN. As I blogged previously, even though the recording of the show has long been over, they’re not allowed to divulge more than what has been currently airing on the pain of a USD5,000,000.00 fine… Now that’s a lot of zeroes!

Anyway, a number of callers and even my man Mo are guessing that Geoff and Tisha had won the race based on their demeanor and facial expressions… Caller Anton also said that the post awarding party will be held in Manila which he said is a pretty good indicator that indeed the winner will come from the Philippines…

I really hope so! Marc and Rovilson were kicking some serious butt during the whole run of the show only to falter in the finale and I hope that Geoff and Tisha redeem the Philippines’ honor tonight, hehe…

Pickup artists 101

Mo and Mojo started a topic which they had discussed yesterday pertaining to these foreign-based “pickup gurus” who, for a fee will pass on their pickup “talents” to YOU… πŸ™‚

They’re claiming a 100% success rate if you follow their formula for picking up girls… I mean, really? These guys wear trenchcoats (in the Philippines) and they look like Ramon Bautista… Not to knock Ramon, he’s a swell guy after all, but he’s not the handsomest dude around…

Tsk, tsk… I wonder who the suckers are who fall for these supposed pickup gurus… Sound more like con-men to me… Can’t really blame them, it is after all, a living…

Womanizers

Mo steered the topic to a discussion of dads being womanizers… He said that the numbers don’t lie, meaning that at one time or another, your dad may have cheated on your Mom… πŸ™‚

A number of callers shared stories about their womanizing fathers…

Caller 1 has a story about his dad having 9 wives and 25 kids! He was part of the original family and growing up, he noticed that his dad would start introducing kids he claimed were children of “friends”… In fact, these kids were half brothers and half sisters of his…

Talk about libido, this guy had it in spades…

Caller 2 caught his father with another woman and guess what, he beat up his dad… Damn, that’s pretty extreme… Mo lauded his efforts though… πŸ™‚

Another interesting caller shared that his grandfather fathered a child when he was in his late 60’s… Obviously with another woman… Ahh… the wonders of Viagra and Cialis… πŸ™‚

Manny Villar and Barack Obama

To close the show, Mo talked about the unfortunate fate of former Senate President Manny Villar who was ousted from his post as the 3rd most powerful person in the country…

Guess who took over? Yup, Juan Ponce Enrile… The chief architect of Martial Law and all around trapo got the Senate Presidency and all its attendant powers…

The topic being politics, Grace naturally had an opinion… πŸ™‚ She stated that we should start retiring the same old faces (albeit defying gravity with BOTOX) and introduce some new blood…

That sounded a lot like US President-elect Obama’s platform and this prompted Mo to say that if we only took the time to look at the powerful persons on TV and think to ourselves: Why does he want to run for this office? What’s in it for them? Would they ever truly put the country first before themselves?

Mo got that sense of integrity and honesty from Obama…

And so do I… I’m glad he won coz I was rooting for him…

That’s it for me guys… I know it’s not my best effort by far but I’m in a real hurry, hehe…

My apologies for the subpar blog…

I’ll make it up next time…

Great times!

Good times with Mo (Oct. 16, 2008)

T’was a pretty laid back show today but I still found myself grinning from ear to ear particularly from caller Bea… She’s one funny girl… Getting ahead of myself again though…

Just read on and find out why:

Barack Obama vs. John McCain

With the US presidential election just a few weeks away, a caller asked Mo his opinion on the hotly contested race… Mo thinks that Obama will bury McCain with an avalanche of votes, in other words, he’ll win by a landslide… I hope so too, I like Barack… He’s very charismatic and he seems to have a solid plan for the US economy which impacts our own economy as well which is why I’m so interested in the results of their election…

And let’s face it, McCain is old, 72 years old… I mean, he’s positively ancient… Admittedly, he seems a bit spry for his age but his ideas are as old as he is which means his management style would probably be old school as well…

Go Barack!

Fees, fees and more fees

There was a topic raised by a caller regarding yesterday’s topic on tips, fees and other stupid charges… Mojo raised an interesting point about Meralco’s charges for system losses… I’m sure you’ve heard about this what with Juday espousing the Lopez’ propaganda on this barefaced highway robbery… I mean, being asked to pay for electricity theft and other power losses? How is that my problem?

A student from my alma mater called in and lamented the fact that parking fees are so high at UST… I couldn’t relate coz I rode the jeepney when I was still at UST… Mo asked him about the perennial flooding in Espana in front of UST and how students are often stranded in school and have to spend the night there… That happened to me quite often when I was still studying there… Oh and the stories about students getting the jiggy on while stranded overnight? Never happened to me unfortunately, hehe…

Food poisoning

A caller phoned in to ask if he could bring some food to the station and Mo started thinking that it’d be so easy to get rid of them by poisoning their food… The reason being is that they gobble down food brought by fans, food outlets and other people without a second thought…

Grace and Mojo said not to give the listeners any ideas, hehe…

Nah, who’d do that other than Mojo trying to get back at Mo? πŸ™‚

The Vermin suspended

My man Mo got an early birthday present with the news that The Vermin, The Despicable One, Satan’s Offspring and she with the other lovely nicknames has been suspended indefinitely from The Buzz…

Woohoo! Mo sure got a kick out of that one… It almost topped the fact that Bamboo is going to have a birthday concert for him on the show next Tuesday…

Grace mentioned the fact that Brian Gorrell put up on his blog my post on an imaginary guesting The Vermin did for the Forbidden Questions of GTWM…

Check it out here

Bamboo!

Speaking of Bamboo, my man Mo gave us the scoop yesterday evening that indeed, Bamboo will be holding a concert on the Good times show this coming Tuesday…

That’s a big deal coz you never hear Bamboo doing a concert on any radio show…

Can’t wait for that and I do hope he sings HIMALA… Mo, start begging…

Who’s the oldest virgin out there?

Mo tried to revive the topic of the 105 year old virgin which I blogged about before by asking the callers to chime in and admit on air if they’re still a virgin…

I thought that there’d be a ton of callers claiming to be virgins with probably a lot of posers as well but, surprise, surprise, not a single caller gave their two cents…

So what does that tell you? No more virgins under the age of 16 in the Philippines? I really think they’re losing it earlier and earlier…

What do you guys think?

Geoff and Tisha

Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang were on hand to promote The Amazing Race Asia as the Philippine representative to this around the world race… Last season they had Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez as the Philippine representative and they sure kicked ass, winning almost every leg of the race but unfortunately getting screwed by flags in the final leg…

Geoff (aka Michael Scofield) and Tisha are doing well so far but they can’t disclose any information outside of what’s currently showing on TV coz they’ll get penalized a whopping US$5,000,000.00Β  Yup, that many zeroes… πŸ™‚

I like them though I haven’t seen all the episodes, I like their chemistry and I do hope they kick ass and romp off with the US$100,000.00 grand prize…

Good luck!

Wang Power Part 2

Remember Bea, the girl who was dating the loser with the anaconda stuffed down his pants? Well she called again today and she was dumped by her boyfriend who unfortunately heard her on air and dropped her like a hot potato…

I can empathize but realistically speaking that’s the best thing that could have happened to her… She’s young and there are just so many wangs out there! Maybe not quite as long…

I was laughing at Mo’s advice to her… “Buy a cucumber or something”… “I’ll introduce you to two African American friends I know…”

Geoff was more poetic… “Love is not measured by inches, or in this case meters or feet”

A ton of horndogs started texting in asking for the girl’s number, hehe… Boys will be boys!

Sports shows and hot girls

Finally, Mo talked about sports shows and the resident eye candy you can find on these shows… He said that he never even looked at the girls and was just interested in the box scores…

Another thing is the presence of hot girls at car shows and showrooms… He said that he wasn’t interested in the girls, just the car’s spec sheet… Hmmm, well can’t you do both Mo? πŸ™‚

By the way, don’t forget to watch Mo’s show on ANC this coming Sunday at 8PM, it’s called iMO (In My Opinion with Mo Twister)… Damn good show last time… Mo in a different light (or at least during part of the show!)

Till next time, I’m out of here…

Good times!

Good Times with Adel Tamano (Sept. 4, 2008)

Posted in Most Recent Posts with tags , , , , on September 4, 2008 by Benj

Today’s edition of Good Times had a political theme with the United Opposition’s spokesperson Adel Tamano as the show’s special guest.

If his last name is familiar, that’s because he is the son of the late senator, Mamintal “Mike” Tamano.

The young and good looking Harvard educated lawyer is also a regular listener of the show or Ka-Goodtimes, hehe…

Very articulate and obviously highly intelligent, he discoursed on a wide variety of topics including his advocacy, his role in the opposition, his work as an educator (he is PLM’s president), his religion (Islam) and his general outlook on life.

His candidness was refreshing even when faced with seemingly “tough” questions from the show’s listeners. He freely admitted that the opposition had sinned in the past and that the important thing is to move forward and learn from its past mistakes.

A number of callers wanted him to run for President in 2010 but he’s not eligible to run because of this age. The minimum age to file a candidacy for president is 40. He must have impressed a number of callers because most of the feedback was positive.

I also liked his choice for President in the US Presidential elections. He’s rooting for Barack Obama… Yeah! Go Barack! πŸ™‚

He is indeed someone to look out for in the years to come. Definitely presidential timber… πŸ™‚

You can check out his blog for more of his writings including the commencement speech he made when he graduated from Harvard Law School.

Now on to some good news:

My man Mo Twister is definitely looking to bring back our favorite Forbidden Questions next week! Woohoo! I’ve missed that portion of the show, it was something worth waking up early for every Wednesdays on the Good times show…

If it pushes through, I’ll definitely post the transcript here or even better, a recording of the show you can download… Watch out for it here… πŸ™‚

I’ll blog about Tuesday’s episode of the Good Times show on Studio 23 later in the day. Check back later… It was their surfing episode in Zambales… Our man Mo got hurt on the show… ouch… I’ll share it with you later…

Till then, I’m out of here…

Good times!
