T’was a pretty laid back show today but I still found myself grinning from ear to ear particularly from caller Bea… She’s one funny girl… Getting ahead of myself again though…

Barack Obama vs. John McCain

With the US presidential election just a few weeks away, a caller asked Mo his opinion on the hotly contested race… Mo thinks that Obama will bury McCain with an avalanche of votes, in other words, he’ll win by a landslide… I hope so too, I like Barack… He’s very charismatic and he seems to have a solid plan for the US economy which impacts our own economy as well which is why I’m so interested in the results of their election…

And let’s face it, McCain is old, 72 years old… I mean, he’s positively ancient… Admittedly, he seems a bit spry for his age but his ideas are as old as he is which means his management style would probably be old school as well…

Go Barack!

Fees, fees and more fees

There was a topic raised by a caller regarding yesterday’s topic on tips, fees and other stupid charges… Mojo raised an interesting point about Meralco’s charges for system losses… I’m sure you’ve heard about this what with Juday espousing the Lopez’ propaganda on this barefaced highway robbery… I mean, being asked to pay for electricity theft and other power losses? How is that my problem?

A student from my alma mater called in and lamented the fact that parking fees are so high at UST… I couldn’t relate coz I rode the jeepney when I was still at UST… Mo asked him about the perennial flooding in Espana in front of UST and how students are often stranded in school and have to spend the night there… That happened to me quite often when I was still studying there… Oh and the stories about students getting the jiggy on while stranded overnight? Never happened to me unfortunately, hehe…

Food poisoning

A caller phoned in to ask if he could bring some food to the station and Mo started thinking that it’d be so easy to get rid of them by poisoning their food… The reason being is that they gobble down food brought by fans, food outlets and other people without a second thought…

Grace and Mojo said not to give the listeners any ideas, hehe…

Nah, who’d do that other than Mojo trying to get back at Mo?

The Vermin suspended

My man Mo got an early birthday present with the news that The Vermin, The Despicable One, Satan’s Offspring and she with the other lovely nicknames has been suspended indefinitely from The Buzz…

Woohoo! Mo sure got a kick out of that one… It almost topped the fact that Bamboo is going to have a birthday concert for him on the show next Tuesday…

Grace mentioned the fact that Brian Gorrell put up on his blog my post on an imaginary guesting The Vermin did for the Forbidden Questions of GTWM…

Bamboo!

Speaking of Bamboo, my man Mo gave us the scoop yesterday evening that indeed, Bamboo will be holding a concert on the Good times show this coming Tuesday…

That’s a big deal coz you never hear Bamboo doing a concert on any radio show…

Can’t wait for that and I do hope he sings HIMALA… Mo, start begging…

Who’s the oldest virgin out there?

Mo tried to revive the topic of the 105 year old virgin which I blogged about before by asking the callers to chime in and admit on air if they’re still a virgin…

I thought that there’d be a ton of callers claiming to be virgins with probably a lot of posers as well but, surprise, surprise, not a single caller gave their two cents…

So what does that tell you? No more virgins under the age of 16 in the Philippines? I really think they’re losing it earlier and earlier…

Geoff and Tisha

Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang were on hand to promote The Amazing Race Asia as the Philippine representative to this around the world race… Last season they had Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez as the Philippine representative and they sure kicked ass, winning almost every leg of the race but unfortunately getting screwed by flags in the final leg…

Geoff (aka Michael Scofield) and Tisha are doing well so far but they can’t disclose any information outside of what’s currently showing on TV coz they’ll get penalized a whopping US$5,000,000.00  Yup, that many zeroes…

I like them though I haven’t seen all the episodes, I like their chemistry and I do hope they kick ass and romp off with the US$100,000.00 grand prize…

Wang Power Part 2

Remember Bea, the girl who was dating the loser with the anaconda stuffed down his pants? Well she called again today and she was dumped by her boyfriend who unfortunately heard her on air and dropped her like a hot potato…

I can empathize but realistically speaking that’s the best thing that could have happened to her… She’s young and there are just so many wangs out there! Maybe not quite as long…

I was laughing at Mo’s advice to her… “Buy a cucumber or something”… “I’ll introduce you to two African American friends I know…”

Geoff was more poetic… “Love is not measured by inches, or in this case meters or feet”

A ton of horndogs started texting in asking for the girl’s number, hehe… Boys will be boys!

Sports shows and hot girls

Finally, Mo talked about sports shows and the resident eye candy you can find on these shows… He said that he never even looked at the girls and was just interested in the box scores…

Another thing is the presence of hot girls at car shows and showrooms… He said that he wasn’t interested in the girls, just the car’s spec sheet… Hmmm, well can’t you do both Mo?

By the way, don’t forget to watch Mo’s show on ANC this coming Sunday at 8PM, it’s called iMO (In My Opinion with Mo Twister)… Damn good show last time… Mo in a different light (or at least during part of the show!)

Sunday nights are normally pretty laid back and I often find myself channel surfing to find some interesting show to watch… Failing that, I just copy my latest downloads to my USB card and watch it on TV…

Now comes my man Mo Twister with a brand spanking new show on the ANC channel… ANC is known mostly for “serious” programming and so I was pleasantly surprised that my man Mo got a show on the said station…

The format kind of reminds me of the talk shows of Jay Leno or David Letterman…The show is basically divided into two segments:

1. iMo Mo’s Most Wanted Hitlist
2. The Couch

iMo Mo’s Most Wanted Hitlist

This section of the show is more freewheeling and my favorite part, thus far… Mo talks about the latest headlines and topics of interest and puts his own perverted “twist” to it… Let’s run down the hitlist, one by one:

Reproductive Health Bill

Up first is the news that the Catholic Church is up in arms over this bill which seeks to promote government subsidized genocide of literally billions of little swimmers in the latex death trap known as condoms… I found the soundbytes amusing when mouthed by those hypocrites in Congress who’ve never had to work a day in their life and are enjoying the trappings of their office at the expense of the poorest of the poor…

Here’s Mo’s top 10 reasons why condoms should have been given out for free a long, long, long time ago…

10. Miriam Defensor Santiago- imagine if there were twins or triplets of Miriam? Perish the thought…
9. Raul Gonzales – isn’t he so adorabe you just want to choke him to death?
8. Manoling Morato -he’s out of the limelight, thank God, but his antics will live in our nightmares  forever…
7. The Abu Sayaff -terrorists anyone?
6. Tim Yap – snort, snort… Gucci, Chanel and YSL would be so sorry to lose your business…
5. George Bush Sr. - simply for the reason that we wouldn’t have our entry at number 4 without him…

3. Sulpicio Lines Management - yeah, floating coffins with an engine…

Banana split girls

It’s the promise of comedy in the form of scantily clad girls and it premiered last Saturday night on ANC’s mother station, ABS-CBN… It stars:

1. Cristy Fermin – nah, just kidding…it’s actually Roxanne Guinoo
2. Angelica Panganiban
3. Christine Reyes
4. Valerie Concepcion

Mo showed some clips from a press conference the girls had to promote the show and they looked like they were bored out of their brains during the press junket…

Angelica had a particularly stupid line: She said, and I quote verbatim:

Para sa akin kasi yung comedy nasa sa yo, nasa pagiging natural mo yun bilang tao eh… So kasi po pinanganak talaga ako para sa show na ito eh…

Really? Your destiny in this universe, your sole reason for being born is to star in this stupid show? Tsk, tsk, Angelica my dear, you were destined for greater things, like being the image young boys relieve their pubescent imaginations on… Come on, you’re selling yourself short…

Texting while driving

Mo talked about this new law being proposed which will essentially prevent people from texting or otherwise using their cellphones while driving…

He doesn’t have a beef with the new law and I don’t have one either but why zero in on texting when we don’t have a minimum alcohol provision in our laws… Drunk driving is inherently more dangerous than texting I would think… The Philippines is one of the few countries in the world without such a provision… Probably along with Mongolia, Tibet and Kazakhstan… Well, at least according to Borat…

Interestingly, drunk driving is penalized P20,000.00 without jail time while texting is penalized P100,000.00 with 6 months of jail time… Makes sense?

Pinoyparazzi sued by Mocha girls

The all female group Mocha girls sued the tattle rag Pinoyparazzi when they published pictures of the group members kissing…

The girls said that their careers could be ruined because their audience were men and that allegations of lesbianism would turn off their intended audience…

Hmmm, au contraire my dears, do you know of any horndogs who would be turned off by girl to girl action? Menage a troi, anyone?

Ateneo toasts Lasalle

Mo related the story of Ateneo burning the names of the Lasalle players written on logs which formed part of the celebratory bonfire of Ateneo in apparent retaliation for the middle finger given to them by one of Lasalle’s player…

Hmmm, I couldn’t care less, I’m from UST, hehe…

The Couch

Special guest for the first edition of The Couch was feminist and Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist, Rina Jimenez David talking about the provisions of the Reproductive Health Bill…

The wide ranging discussions ran the gamut from condom use, abortion and her children’s possible use of condoms…

I find Rina brilliant and read her columns regularly at PDI… Cool mom, as well…

Edgardo Sureza  of Pro-life Philippines presented the opposing view on the RH bill being discussed and I found his views strange… From sex education and the use of natural rhythm method… His arguments just didn’t have a leg to stand on…

Most of his arguments were non-sequitur…

I was observing Mo and he totally disagreed with Ed Sureza’s views…

I don’t want to discuss this too much but I’m sure that 80% of Filipinos, even Katoliko Sagrados would agree that we need to practice some form of birth control other than the notoriously unreliable rhythm method…

Great show, Mo… I look forward to next week’s episode…

Woohoo! After a week of missing our favorite radio show, the gang’s back together with DJ Miguel! Well, Mojo was “manning” the fort during the previous week but hour long discussions on diamonds and melamine weren’t overwhelmingly entertaining….

Lots of good stuff on the show today and so without further ado, here’s the show:

Movie talk

As is usual for the show, Mo started with some light topics including the latest movies in town… Mo’s recommended movie, Tropic Thunder, starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey, Jr. has an interesting concept, it’s basically a movie within a movie… Oh and by the way, try to find Robert Downey, Jr. in this movie when you see it…

Other movies:

Mirrors -  Mo suggests that we give it a miss… We’ll I’ve downloaded it already, should be worth a peek…

Twilight Movie – I guess a lot of Edward Cullen fans are hankering for this movie, it’s coming out on the 21st of November…

By the way, if you’re a fan of vampires and humans falling in love, there’s a series on HBO which you might want to check out… It’s called “True Blood” and it’s on my watch list right now… I’m at episode 5 already and I’d have to say it’s a very interesting show and considerably more mature than Twilight…

For the horndogs out there, there’s a lot of sex between vampires and humans in this series and some bondage as well, hehe… Kinky, I know…

Kim Kardashian at 14

My man Mo’s been keeping “abreast” of the latest Kim Kardashian news and as he shared earlier in the show, Kim’s posted a picture of herself on her blogsite when she was 14 years old… Her “point” was to squash rumors that she’s had work done on her voluptuous bod…

Damn, I’d have to admit that Kim was too smoking hot at age 14… Not very pretty though but she sure filled out that bikini really well… When Filipina girls are just having their training bras and braces put on, Kim was already wearing bikinis and showing off some impressive cup C cleavage…

I’d have to say “Amen” to that…

Britney Spears video

Speaking of skanks, Mo’s favorite singer, Britney Spears, just released a new music video entitled “Womanizer”… I just checked out the video and I’ll have to say that Britney’s personal trainer and cosmetic surgeon are worth the thousands of dollars she’s paying them…

Her sauna scenes in the video are worth the price of admission… The problem with Britney is that her “hotness” is off again, on again… She hasn’t attained that level of consistency in terms of hotness…

By the way, as an aside, I guess Britney’s not setting the best example for her younger sister, 17 year old Jamie Lynn Spears, who’s pregnant with her 2nd child! She had her 1st one at age 16… They’re sure starting them young over there…

Osama bin Laden poetry

During the show, the infamous Osama bin Laden, terrorist leader extraordinaire and the “brains” behind the deadly 9/11 attacks, “called” the show to promote his new book of poetry…

Yup, you read it right, the man known for executing his own people and killing thousands of innocent people has a “sensitive” side…

Now, how famous has Mo Twister gotten that even “Osama” is calling for some airtime on the GTWM show? George “Dubya” Bush has been hunting Bin Laden for the past 8 years and he hasn’t had as much as a sniff of a missile lock on this elusive desert fox…

Our turbanned guest, recited some “romantic” poems which were pretty funny… Not sidesplittingly funny but he had me throwing down some loud guffaws…

Rihanna and Chris Brown in concert

I’ve got to score some tickets to this concert… Rihanna and boyfriend Chris Brown are confirmed to be holding a concert here in the Fort on November 16… If you get the tickets between Oct. 15-31, you get a discount and I believe that the tickets are very reasonably priced considering the caliber and fame of the singers…

Ever observant Mo noted that there’s a new Bench billboard of Piolo Pascual northbound from SLEX which apparently had our radio diva Mojo Jojo all aflutter… The reason? Piolo was shirtless and the “bulge” he was packing in his pants was enough to poke one in the eye…

It was too big that Mo wondered if it was “digitally enhanced” (i.e. Photoshopped)…

Couldn’t care less really…

105 year old virgin

Another interesting piece of news from Mo… A little old lady from Britain is claiming that she may be the world’s oldest virgin… 105 year old Clara Meadmore, attributes celibacy as the reason for her longevity…

She’s not a virgin because of religious reasons according to her… “I have just never been interested in sex. I imagine there is a lot of hassle involved and I have always been busy doing other things.”

I thought that she was a gargoyle when she was younger and that was the reason she hasn’t been throwing it down but even in her 30′s she didn’t look half bad…

Mo said that he’ll have to take one for the team and devirginize the old lady… ROTFLMAO!

That’s pretty gross even for you Mo, hehe…

Maybe you can ask Shigeo Tokuda (a 73 year old porn star from Japan) to take one for the team instead…

Flapjack’s freebies

Flapjack’s restaurant gave away free meals today to the first 100 listeners of GTWM who showed up at their Greenhills branch and said the correct password “Anne Curtis’ mole”…

Too bad the other password ideas Mo had happened after they announced the password on air…

The secondary passwords were:

1. I’m in love with my first cousin
2. I have STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)

That would have been hilarious!

Breast feeding

Speaking of Jamie Lynn Spears earlier, she got pregnant for the second time because she thought that since she was breastfeeding her 1st child, she couldn’t get pregnant again…

This triggered a discussion as to the merits of this idea… I mean we’ve all heard this at one time or another but is it really true? Well I did some research and I found out that it only “reduces” your chance of getting pregnant but you should have a secondary contraceptive plan to ensure that you don’t get pregnant…

Oh and the secondary contraceptive plan I’m talking about doesn’t involve breastfeeding the father too…

Mojo’s hair

Mo dissed Mojo’s hair on air and said that he’s the most unfashionable gay guy he’s ever known… Apparently, Mojo had some sort of Mohawk action going on right now… Not quite Mr. T but close…

Maybe Mojo should start watching “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” re-runs…

Mo’s new show on ANC

I just watched Mo’s new show on ANC entitled IMO (In My Opinion with Mo Twister) and it was freaking hilarious… Mo was on point last night (it was aired live) and I loved the show’s concept…

I’ll put up a blog about it later… Watch for it, hehe… Too funny!

He’s BACK! Yup, you heard it here first, my man Mo Twister’s back last night from the city of lights, Paris, and from all indications, he’s back with a vengeance… Check out the photos in the show’s multiply site…

Great show being planned in the coming week with a special show in the works and a special guest! Watch out for the clues here in our blog!

But in the meantime, watch out for the premiere of Mo’s new show tonight 9PM on ANC and he’s asking for some support from the Ka-goodtimes, yeah, that means YOU!
