The ever reliable tabo

The ever reliable tabo

Today’s show was hi-larious! The trio was on point and had me in stitches! Darn, I looked like an idiot whilst driving with this stupid grin on my face, hehe… Arrgggghh, my cheeks hurt from smiling too much…

A lot of the callers were really funny and really contributed to the quality of the show…

Great job guys!

Read on for the highlights:

Pinoy guy fired for using water

Mo got an update about this story which pissed off all Pinoys who heard or read about it… A brief backgrounder: A Pinoy working in Australia was fired from his job apparently because he uses water instead of tissue to clean his ass after taking a dump…

Very typical Pinoy right?

In its defense, the company which fired our kababayan stated that they had previously warned the guy about his habit of washing his ass instead of using tissue because he would splash water all over the bowl in the process of cleaning his privates and he’d leave disgusting fecal matter on the side and rim of the bowl…

Yeah, not a very appetizing vision I would imagine… Sorry for the graphic description, hehe…

I guess it’s up to the courts to decide, as for me… Tabo pa rin, hehe…

judgemyjunk.org updates

No, I haven’t sent in a picture of my junk yet but I’m seriously considering it, hehe… What I’m curious to find out is if any of my readers have actually sent in a picture of their junk… Come on, fess up guys!

A caller named Totoy Obama sent in a pic of his junk with the Philippine Star edition featuring President Barack Obama being sworn into office… Nothing unusual in that except that this guy was exceptionally “gifted” and he drew raves from Mo and Mojo… Their only critique was that it twisted to the left and then to the right, hehe….

Mo also asked the uber hot girl who sent a photo of her body for Mo’s delectation, hehe… It’s currently serving as Mo’s wallpaper! Calling hot girl, please call the show!

Naming your junk

Mo commented on men’s habit of naming their junks and he went round the table and asked Mojo and Grace if they’ve ever named their junk… Mo started off by stating that his junk is named Stanley… Nothing too flashy, he said because it’s always better to be understated and then exceed expectations… πŸ™‚

Mojo named his “Shalimar” hehe… Gaaaayyyyy! Oh yeah, he is gay… what am I talking about? πŸ™‚

Maria Korea of course hadn’t even thought of naming her junk, what a weird idea, hehe… A caller suggested Rose… Yeah, it sounds good… it sounds “pristine”… Perfect for Grace…

Some callers gave their two cents on this topic, among them:

  1. “Jack” – fairly obvious and I’m guessing his last name is “Off”
  2. “Boyet” – this one had me in stitches, the name was so pedestrian and so Pinoy, hehe…
  3. “El Filibusterismo” – solid…
  4. “Bin Laden” – coz it was so hairy and when it got mad, it’ll “terrorize” your ass… πŸ™‚

What’s your junk called?

Bogus call

There was this caller who was so fake he was funny… He claimed to be a doctor from Vegas and he said that he was on a Northwest flight when an “emergency” happened on the plane and he played “hero”…. He kept changing details of his story and he used terms which a “real” doctor wouldn’t use…

Of course the human lie detector named Mo saw through his story quickly enough but he allowed him to continue because the manner in which he spoke was so theatrical it was hi-larious… πŸ™‚

Ahhh, what some guys will do for their two minutes of fame…

Presidentiables

A caller phoned in and asked them who their top picks are for President of the republic after President GMA steps down from public office…

Among the names floated by Grace was Chiz (of course!!!)… I love you Chiz Escudero! Mo felt though that he would be better served by running for VP and getting some more experience under his belt considering his relative youth… But then again, the people are fickle and in politics, timing is everything…

Manny’s name was nominated by Mojo and I think Mo agreed on this one… I have my doubts that Manny will win though, he just doesn’t seem to have the X factor which defines the next president…

BF? Nah, the whole Philippines will probably be gayer than Mojo Jojo… I mean, come on, pink everywhere?

Jobama Binay already has a slogan – “Jobama, barako para sa pagbabago”… Yeah right! And their political dynasty represents change? I’m willing to bet that there will be a Binay ruling Makati when I’m already using a cane, addicted to Viagra and choking on my dentures while eating tikoy…

Prostate cancer

Mo presented this rather scary research to all the horndogs out there… It’s a cautionary tale so it behooves our species to listen… Recent studies have indicated that excessive jacking off will increase your chances of having prostate cancer…

Damn! And all this while I thought it was good for your health…

Ergo, I suggest a hiatus for Mary Palmer guys… Give her a break for now… πŸ™‚

Charlize!

There was this lady caller who got me all hot and bothered, hehe… Her name was Charlize and she was asking if it was normal for guys to NOT jack off…

The reason that she asked was that Mo had earlier propounded that it is the norm for men to have their way with themselves if they’re alone and naked…

She eventually confessed that it was her boyfriend who had this peculiarity and that her sex drive was stronger than his… She wanted it at least twice a day and thrice on Sundays, hehe…

As expected, all the guys listening in at the time started to text in and ask for Charlize’s number… Yours truly included, hehe… Some particularly desperate ones proclaimed their undying love (lust?) and claimed that Charlize was their soulmate, hehe… Yeah right!

Charlize, my email is pinoydiscus@gmail.com…. Sorry, just had to get that one out there, hehe…

Consensual rape

Another caller who had an interesting story to share asked for advice on what to do after her boyfriend of 2 years got her drunk and proceeded to have his way with her…

Mojo and Grace immediately cried “RAPE!” but Mo was more sedate and tried to elicit more information from our caller… Apparently, they’re back together despite the forced entry as the caller stated that she still “loved” the guy despite his actions…

Mo’s advice, break up with the guy… Partly because of what he did but more importantly so she could be her own woman and not have to follow whatever this guy says…

Methinks the advice is sound…

What do you think guys?

Very, very entertaining show today and sorry for the lack of a blog yesterday… Just swamped with work… πŸ™‚

Well it pays the bills… What can I say? πŸ™‚

Good times!

Today’s show was fun for so many reasons and it was a great wrap up for the week… Kudos to the gang for putting on such a wonderful series of shows and I’m sure I speak for the other fans of the show as well when I say, GREAT JOB, GUYS!

Enough of the asskissing, let’s talk about the show’s highlights… πŸ™‚

Advice from Maria Korea

As is the norm, there were a lot of young callers during the early parts of the show… A young female caller aged 14 sought some advice from Grace Lee on how to capture the heart of a young Korean lad who was 2 years older than she was…

Grace’s advice was to show interest in Korean culture, teach him to speak our language and other sensible advice… Impressive Grace, twins notwithstanding I love Grace’s mind… πŸ™‚

Pirates of the Caribbean

Well they’re not exactly in theΒ  Caribbean but off the West African coast, still, it was a catchy header, hehe… Mo shared the news about Somali pirates seizing an oil tanker and berthing it in pirate-infested Somali waters…

But he was complaining that the Somali pirates don’t look anything like the pirates we see in movies… No outlandish costumes, no parrot on the shoulder, no wooden foot, no hook and worse they spoke Swahili, hehe…

To be fair to them, they do carry machine guns and rocket launchers…

Arrhhh, mateys… String em up and let em walk the plank!

Amazing Race Asia Finale

Philippine representatives to the Amazing Race Asia Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang were on hand to plug the show’s finale tonight on AXN. As I blogged previously, even though the recording of the show has long been over, they’re not allowed to divulge more than what has been currently airing on the pain of a USD5,000,000.00 fine… Now that’s a lot of zeroes!

Anyway, a number of callers and even my man Mo are guessing that Geoff and Tisha had won the race based on their demeanor and facial expressions… Caller Anton also said that the post awarding party will be held in Manila which he said is a pretty good indicator that indeed the winner will come from the Philippines…

I really hope so! Marc and Rovilson were kicking some serious butt during the whole run of the show only to falter in the finale and I hope that Geoff and Tisha redeem the Philippines’ honor tonight, hehe…

Pickup artists 101

Mo and Mojo started a topic which they had discussed yesterday pertaining to these foreign-based “pickup gurus” who, for a fee will pass on their pickup “talents” to YOU… πŸ™‚

They’re claiming a 100% success rate if you follow their formula for picking up girls… I mean, really? These guys wear trenchcoats (in the Philippines) and they look like Ramon Bautista… Not to knock Ramon, he’s a swell guy after all, but he’s not the handsomest dude around…

Tsk, tsk… I wonder who the suckers are who fall for these supposed pickup gurus… Sound more like con-men to me… Can’t really blame them, it is after all, a living…

Womanizers

Mo steered the topic to a discussion of dads being womanizers… He said that the numbers don’t lie, meaning that at one time or another, your dad may have cheated on your Mom… πŸ™‚

A number of callers shared stories about their womanizing fathers…

Caller 1 has a story about his dad having 9 wives and 25 kids! He was part of the original family and growing up, he noticed that his dad would start introducing kids he claimed were children of “friends”… In fact, these kids were half brothers and half sisters of his…

Talk about libido, this guy had it in spades…

Caller 2 caught his father with another woman and guess what, he beat up his dad… Damn, that’s pretty extreme… Mo lauded his efforts though… πŸ™‚

Another interesting caller shared that his grandfather fathered a child when he was in his late 60’s… Obviously with another woman… Ahh… the wonders of Viagra and Cialis… πŸ™‚

Manny Villar and Barack Obama

To close the show, Mo talked about the unfortunate fate of former Senate President Manny Villar who was ousted from his post as the 3rd most powerful person in the country…

Guess who took over? Yup, Juan Ponce Enrile… The chief architect of Martial Law and all around trapo got the Senate Presidency and all its attendant powers…

The topic being politics, Grace naturally had an opinion… πŸ™‚ She stated that we should start retiring the same old faces (albeit defying gravity with BOTOX) and introduce some new blood…

That sounded a lot like US President-elect Obama’s platform and this prompted Mo to say that if we only took the time to look at the powerful persons on TV and think to ourselves: Why does he want to run for this office? What’s in it for them? Would they ever truly put the country first before themselves?

Mo got that sense of integrity and honesty from Obama…

And so do I… I’m glad he won coz I was rooting for him…

That’s it for me guys… I know it’s not my best effort by far but I’m in a real hurry, hehe…

My apologies for the subpar blog…

I’ll make it up next time…

Great times!

Good times with Mo (Manny Villar Episode)

Senate President Manny Villar

Senate President Manny Villar

Senate President and front running Presidentiable Manny Villar was the special guest on today’s episode of Good times with Mo… Today being a holiday, fewer listeners were probably tuned in to the show as our Muslim brothers observe Eid ul Fitr or the end of Ramadan…

I’m okay with episodes like this as it really enlightens us on what’s happening to the nation and we really do need to be more well rounded in other aspects of life other than wangs and non-virgin indicators… Now that I’ve gotten that bit of hypocrisy out of the way, read on for Manny Villar’s words of wisdom… πŸ™‚

Early life

Senator Villar talked about his early life and it is a study on what changes hard work and perseverance can wrought in one’s life… Born under humble circumstances, being the son of a government worker and a seafood dealer,Β  Sen. Villar toiled as a seafood dealer and worked various odd jobs to put himself through college…

Armed with a sharp business acumen, he tried his hand at various entrepreneurial ventures including seafood trading before finally hitting the motherlode with various real estate ventures…

I do hope a lot of students were listening to the show and will draw some inspiration from his life… There is honor in labor and we needn’t be ashamed of working hard for a better future…

Okay, that was a bit too deep even for me, hehe…

You don’t need money to make money

Amongst the various nuggets of wisdom that Senator Villar dropped during the show was his belief that you don’t need money to make money… He stated that even with the barest amount of capital you could start your own business and providing you work hard and use common sense, you can grow that business to a profitable venture… Oh and don’t be afraid to lose the business, if you start from nothing and you lose everything, you’d just be back with what you started with anyway, err which is basically, nothing, hehe..

Makes sense, eh?

According to Senator Villar, Filipinos have been trained at an early age to think as employees, meaning that we prepare ourselves and our children to work for others… He emphasized that we need to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit and teach our children to be entrepreneurs as well… Sounds like Robert Kiyosaki’s advice… πŸ™‚

Less beauty contests more entrepreneurial awards

He also set our priorities straight in even small things like beauty contests… He said that we should focus more on rewarding and honoring entrepreneurs, fishermen, farmers and the like instead of superficial things like beauty during fiestas…

Sort of like having a Farmer of the Year award for the farmer with the highest crop yield and stuff of that ilk… Sounds logical and much better than holding gay beauty pageants… Sorry Mojo, hehe

C5 issue cleared

Senator Villar also took the opportunity to clear the issue about the alleged C5 double entry in the national budget. He explained that it was an accounting error and that he stood to gain nothing from the project as the DPWH will execute the project and he will not be in a position to touch the money in any way, shape or form…

I believe him on this one because the guy’s filthy rich already and he knows that he can make money legally and even more when he’s out of office… And I believe that he wouldn’t want to risk tainting his legacy…

Also, it sounds like a demolition job to me what with Villar at number 2 in the most recent SWS survey of presidentiables…

But then again, you’re old enough to make your own conclusions and I trust in the wisdom of my readers… πŸ™‚

Indignation fatigue

Mo asked Sen. Villar about the real level of corruption in government and he sadly confirmed that it’s probably worse than what we believe…

He said that Filipinos have developed what he termed as “indignation fatigue”, meaning that we’ve become so inured to graft and corruption that it would take something really epic to stir us from our somnolence…

What you plan vs. what you’ve done

Manny was surprisingly witty and not as dry as I believed him to be… He stated that you can don’t need to be an expert in finance in order to run a business but that you should have a good grasp of basic arithmetic and street smarts… If you don’t have both, you could always become a politician… Ouch… πŸ™‚

Another gem that he dropped which poked fun at the contrast between politicians and businessmen is that when you’re a businessman, you focus on results, meaning what you’ve done… In politics, you focus on what you plan… πŸ™‚

He also took a subtle dig at one of his detractors… When asked about the C5 issue, he said that he was being lambasted by 4 people and these were all Presidential contenders (Loren, Ping and Mar) and one who thinks she is a presidentiable (Jamby)… Make of that what you will, hehe…

Mojo a snob?

A caller phoned in to relate a bad encounter with a local celebrity to “make sumbong kay Gumatay”… as Asia Agcaoili so eloquently put it… Unfortunately, the local celebrity in question is our very own Mojo Jojo… πŸ™‚

Apparently, the caller went to the station with a friend and asked Mojo for a picture when Mojo took a cigarette break… Mojo allegedly snubbed our caller and just went to the fire exit to take a puff…

Of course, Mojo denied this and said that maybe the caller may have mumbled the request and as a consequence Mojo failed to hear him…

It was a case of HE SAID, SHE SAID… Anyway, I’d like to give Mojo the benefit of the doubt coz I don’t think he seems to be the snobbish type… Mo and Grace agreed that Mojo was not the type to snub a fan…

All in all, it was a good show and I look forward to Grace Lee’s birthday party tomorrow…

Till then, I’m out of here…

Good times!

Mo’s message

Mo dropped by the site today and he left some nice comments and also a bit of news for you guys which I thought deserved to be put front and center…

Here’s Mo’s message and I quote verbatim:

Hey everyone, its Mo…hope all is well. thanks Benj for continuing to blog the show daily, honestly ive been looking for someone to do this for us for a long time cuz there are many, many, many instances in the past when we were looking for clips and couldnt find them cuz we didnt know what date they were. so a blog like this is so damn helpful, i appreciate it.

sorry for the weak show today. since im leaving for paris on friday, ive been doing so much tv work these past few days that im getting home at ridiculously late hours with only an hour or two to write the next mornings show and it usually leaves me with nothing. its very difficult to write 3 hours of comedy (or an attempt at comedy) every single night. also, today we had a bunch of tv lights and cameras recording the entire program and that ALWAYS gets in the way of putting on a normal show, so again, my apologies for not being our best.

as some of you may know, i hate holidays because less people listen to the show. tomorrow is a holiday and thats a shame because we have manny villar on the program. he officially will be the highest ranking philippines government official to be on our show (manny is 3rd in command of our country). i like this guy…alot. and its unfortunate that less people will be on the road tomorrow but i guess i can grab clips and replay some of it on thursday. speaking of, thursday will be a big show cuz its grace’s birthday episode plus it also her first year on the program which is a big deal cuz it is the only time that a female co-host has lasted as whole year. (grace started on the program shortly after her birthday).

anyway, im in the middle of tv work so i decided to drop a message here. im just waiting for the start of family feud, a game show on gma-7 hosted by richard gomez. i love game shows, i love winning them. i’ll likely talk about it tomorrow on the program how much money im going to take home tonight after winning this thing. hehehe

good times =)

So don’t forget to indulge your Good times habit to the max this week coz there isn’t going to be any Good times for the whole of next week… Good grief, 4 days without Good times… 😦

Hmmm, Manny Villar would be on the show tomorrow so it should be pretty interesting… C’mon guys, let’s show some support for the show tomorrow and burn the lines… πŸ™‚

Advance Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary as well Grace! I admire your fortitude… πŸ™‚

Good luck Mo and I hope you win some more “baon” for your trip to Paris!

Nope, you’re not lost, I’ve just changed the theme of my blog…

Just to get some boring stuff out of the way, I’ve updated my blog with some changes including my About Me page because Mo and Grace have told me on-air that they don’t know who the author of this blog is…Β  Although I haven’t completely revealed my identity, I’ve added more information just to let you guys know a bit more about your humble author… I’ve also added a chat facility through Meebo where you can chat with me (if I’m online, that is) or leave me an offline message. Alternatively, you can also leave your comments and I do read ALL comments posted on my blog, so knock yourself out…

Now, on to the good stuff… The trio was incomplete today with Grace extending her Hong Kong stay till today but Miguel ably filled in for our favorite Korean DJ.Β  Mo, Mojo and Grace together with Andi9 were in Hong Kong over the weekend filming for the Hong Kong episode of Good Times on Studio 23… The good news is that Grace will be back tomorrow…

Manny Villar clarifies issue

Senate President Manny Villar sent a letter to clarify the issue that regular Good Times caller Bien phoned in early this week with regards to alleged statements made by Villar at a Senate hearing wherein our favorite show was labelled obscene or indecent (I forgot which)… Anyway, the issue pissed off a lot of Good Times’ listeners (including yours truly) but the good senator clarified that he never said those statements and that he supported freedom of speech and so on and so forth… I guess Mo forgave him and that means all is well between Manny Villar and the millions of Good Times listeners… πŸ™‚

Hottest Celebrity Showdown (ABS-CBN bracket)

For today’s edition of Hottest Celebrity showdown for the ABS-CBN bracket… It’s 6th seeded Angelica Panganiban vs. 5th seed Betty La Fea (Bea Alonzo) duking it out for bragging rights for the most prestigious award in all of radio… Poor Bea, she got whitewashed in this one, as the combination of an awesome rack coupled with the angelic face of Ms. Panganiban successfully convinced the callers and our hosts that this was a virtual no contest… One caller went so far as to say that whilst Bea is pretty and all, she just does not inspire his libido… I’ll have to agree with him on this one… πŸ™‚

Angelica sweeps Bea and moves on to the 2nd round…

Art anyone?

My man Mo then steered the conversation to the world’s ridiculously expensive paintings and their disproportionately pleasing aesthetics… I took a look at the top notcher No. 5, 1948 (see above), an abstract painting by artist Jackson Pollock, and I see the point… I mean, if you had the money, would you pay US$140,000,000.00 for that? Admittedly, my eyes are not trained to discern the beauty and whatever vision the artist sought to convey with his art. You can call me old fashioned but I like paintings where I can at least see the subject… πŸ™‚

My readers are smart so I’d appreciate your take on this one…

Sexy drinks

From art to porn (I love this show) the topic moved to the subject of alcoholic drinks and as is his wont, my man Mo noticed that a majority of drinks are named suggestively (read sexy)… Some of the ones that I know of are:

  1. Blowjob
  2. Screaming Orgasm
  3. Sex on the Beach
  4. Wet Pussy
  5. Between the Sheets

and the list goes on… And before you ask, I’ve heard of them, but never tried them… Well, the drinks at least… πŸ™‚ Mojo was of the opinion that the reason for the suggestive nature of the names was that it was some sort of gimmick intended to boost sales and it was hip to name drinks after sex…

My take on it is that bars are by nature seething with sexual energy and this is just a great way to further enhance that atmosphere… πŸ™‚ Or make the girl so drunk that you’ll get laid…

Mo’s Lucky Me secret recipe

A caller chimed in with an opinion about the drinks and then steered the topic to Mo’s unique recipe for cooking Lucky Me instant pancit canton… Call me baduy but I love Lucky Me, it’s a staple diet and I never leave the grocery without at least 5 packs of Lucky Me… πŸ™‚ In my opinion, Lucky Me is one of the greatest inventions of modern man, along with C2, hehe…

How to make Mo’s Lucky Me pancit canton:

  1. First you need to cook the noodles in the usual manner (i.e. boiling) but stop cooking once the noodles are slightly cooked through (sort of like al dente)… Take them out of the water and reserve…
  2. Next, mix the sauce powder, oil and liquid seasoning together and heat them separately (add a little more oil to the mixture)…
  3. Lastly, place a little oil in a non-stick pan and do a quick stir fry of the noodles before mixing in the sauce… Serve immediately…

I haven’t tried this way of cooking of Lucky Me but I’ll do it tonight and I’ll let you know the results… If you try this recipe, kindly chime in and let me know how it goes… πŸ™‚

Hottest Celebrity Showdown (GMA bracket)

And to close the show, we had the GMA bracket of the contest that’s sweeping the nation, Good Times’ Hottest Celebrity Showdown, with 7th seeded Rhiann Ramos taking on the highly ranked, Heart Evangelista, seeded no. 2…

Mojo went with Heart, as did Miguel… The callers were divided but the majority chose Rhiann over Heart… One of the funnier reasons put forth by the all male callers was that Heart reminded them too much of Jericho! If you’re a true heterosexual male then that’s a true boner killer… I guess that’s why Mojo selected Heart, hehe…

Well, the gist of the arguments was that Rhiann was a fresh face and that Heart has been in the business for quite a long time… Mo cited Rhiann’s attitude and personality with Heart having the unfortunate reputation of being a snob… Mo votes for Rhiann on this one…

The final tally wasn’t even close and thus 7th seeded Rhiann scores an upset of epic proportions over the highly touted Heart Evangelista… She moves on to the 2nd round… Good luck, Rhiann! πŸ™‚

Well, that’s the show in a nutshell… Hope you enjoy the read, please chime in with your comments, they’re always welcome… Although sometimes I may not respond to all your comments, rest assured that I read them all…

By the way, I added a link section, titled “Friends of Good Times”, wherein I put in the links of the readers who left a link on my comment section… If, for some reason you want the link removed, just drop me a line and I’ll zap it… Please link back to my blog if you enjoy reading it so that more people can check out my blog… πŸ™‚

Till next time… I’m out of here…

Good times!
